No one was more impactful than José Marrero in the 4-3 Cut Off win over Newmarket. Marrero, who is tied for 6th in the PA in triples with 2, was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. The 6th-place Crawdads bumped their record to 25-26.

Andy Jackson's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 3-3. The Cut Off second baseman hit a run-scoring single off Joe Dunn to put the Crawdads up.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Marrero told the Cut Off Gazette.
