Vandals Rebuff Rogues, 3-2

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Eugene Vandals got the win.
Andrew Bowen pitched well, but his team, the Newmarket Rogues, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Eugene Vandals at The Riot Zone. The save went to Pedro Garza, number 4 for him.
The Vandals got a big hit from left fielder Bobby Rush. In the bottom of the sixth, Rush smacked a 3-run home run off Newmarket pitcher Andrew Bowen. It was his 9th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Vandals were ahead, 3-2.
Rush said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
Eugene is now 28-24, Newmarket 21-31.
