Achilles Lathouris was a vital contributor to the 8-1 Cut Off victory over Smoky Mountain. The Crawdads second baseman went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Augusto Gómez got credit for the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 7.2 innings. The loss makes Smoky Mountain 25-30.

With Cut Off leading 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Lathouris hit a changeup from Gijsbert Arents for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Crawdads ahead, 7-1.
