Jets Solve Rogues, 6-2
|
Kennesaw registered a win at Rogues Stadium by beating the Newmarket Rogues, 6-2. Pitcher Glenn Murphy was one reason why the Jets triumphed. With the win, the Jets are 19-39.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Neill Barthen? The 23-year old shortstop Barthen stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Kennesaw up, 5-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Newmarket manager Clay Myers.
