Romero, who dominated for Cut Off, earned the victory to move to 2-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 7. Put-In-Bay batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Miguel's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Cut Off manager Javier Flores.
