Wright Impresses as Hobeaus Knock Off Jets, 1-0
|
In a low-scoring game between Smoky Mountain and Kennesaw, pitcher Anthony Wright was excellent. The Smoky Mountain right-hander helped his team knock off the Jets, 1-0. António Valenzuela closed out the game, earning his 1st save. With the victory, the Hobeaus record stands at 28-38.
The Hobeaus liked what they saw from Wright. The 19-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Jets to no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 5.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Wright.
