The Huntington Hermit Crabs locked up a win at The Shell, knocking off the Kennesaw Jets, 4-0. On the mound for Huntington was left-hander Wayne Hughes. He played a major role in the triumph. With the victory, the Hermit Crabs upped their record to 38-32.

Huntington starter Wayne Hughes was exceptional. The 6-foot-2 left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8.1 innings of work.

"Wayne approached every single pitch he made with total conviction," said Huntington manager Bernardino Condeixa.
