The Put-In-Bay Commodores defeated the Newmarket Rogues, 6-3, in USPL Single A action at Rogues Stadium. Put-In-Bay pitcher Jesús López had a standout performance. With the win, Put-In-Bay has a record of 32-43. Newmarket falls to 31-44.

Put-In-Bay relied on the hitting of Octávio Gutiérrez to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Commodores on top, 3-0. For the game, Gutiérrez had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said López.
