The Monroeville Yinzers defeated the Eugene Vandals, 4-2, at The Riot Zone. Monroeville third baseman Luis Antonio Herrera had a superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Richard Roche earned the save for Monroeville, his 8th of the year. The 5th-place Yinzers have won 4 in a row.

Monroeville used a clutch at-bat from Tomás Gaona to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yinzers ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
