The Eugene Vandals knocked off the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, 7-2, in USPL Single A action at Liberty Youth Field. Eugene pitcher and Centreville, Virginia, native Byron Combs had an outstanding performance. Eugene now has a record of 51-42 with the win.

Eugene relied on the hitting of Will Henderson to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Vandals on top, 2-0. For the game, Henderson had 1 triple and 3 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Henderson told the Eugene Observer. "It's as simple as that."
