Voodoo Suffer 5-1 Setback
The Hollywood Shredders beat the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-1, at The Hollywood Bowl. Starting pitcher Chris Johnston was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The winner was Johnston. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Juan Castillo. Jack Hill picked up his 1st save of the season.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Shredders grabbed the lead when Les Moore rapped a two-out double. Hollywood was trailing 1-0, when Moore hit a 2-run double off Juan Castillo to put his team in front, 2-1.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Hollywood skipper TJ Reynolds.

New Orleans is 1-1 after the defeat.
