The Bethlehem Angel Kitties topped the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 5-3, with first baseman Sergio Salazar playing a big role. Salazar was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Angel Kitties in the win. Bethlehem reliever Nico van Halteren picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Werner Mooney absorbed the loss. With the win, Bethlehem is 8-9.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Tony García? The 19-year old left fielder García stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Bethlehem up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
