The Surprise Shockers took Bethlehem pitcher Darryl Nixon's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Shockers Field. The final score had Surprise getting past the Angel Kitties, 2-1. Nixon went 9.2 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 4. At 13-9, the Shockers find themselves in second place in the Silver Low A.

The Shockers got a clutch hit from second baseman Juan Sánchez. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Shockers.

"Good ballgame," said Bethlehem manager Zach Stafford. "But we came up on the short end."
