Baby Lakers Fall Short, 2-1, at Tijuana
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Tijuana Toros and Bompton Baby Lakers.
The Tijuana Toros claimed a close win over the Bompton Baby Lakers, due in large part to Dong-joo Im. The Tijuana right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Im yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-0.
Brian Wolf broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a run-scoring walk. It put the Toros in front, 2-1. For the game, Wolf drew 1 walk.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Wolf told the Tijuana Herald.
At 11-12, the Toros find themselves in 7th place in the Silver Low A.
