Ladd Goes Deep Twice in 7-1 Hounds Win
The Hicksville Hounds trumped the Amarillo Warheads, 7-1, at Hound Pound. Hicksville third baseman Gene Ladd was terrific. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Rubén Rodríguez earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. The Hounds win now puts them at 17-10.

With Hicksville leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Ladd hit a fastball from Pepe García for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Hounds ahead, 5-0.

"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Ladd.
