Ogallala Octopi starter Jason Roy was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Philadelphia Liberty U-21, 5-1. Picking up the save was Layton Irving, his 2nd. The loss makes Philadelphia 23-7.
Ogallala used a clutch at-bat from Pancho Traveso to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Octopi ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Roy.
