Starting pitcher António Calderón gave the Ogallala Octopi a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Maine Sea Dogs, 3-0, at Sea Dogs Park. The Octopi raised their record to 21-14.

The Octopi liked what they saw from Calderón. The 20-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Sea Dogs to no runs on 2 hits over 7.1 innings, and striking out 8.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Calderón.
