Angel Kitties Flatten Trash Pandas, 9-4
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties topped the Watford City Trash Pandas, 9-4, at Trash Panda Field. Bethlehem shortstop Carroll Thompson was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Reliever Wilson León picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Jorge Gonzáles took the loss. The 9th-place Angel Kitties own a record of 11-24.
Thompson contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Bethlehem in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Thompson took a fastball from Jorge Gonzáles and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Angel Kitties to leap in front, 5-2.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Bethlehem manager Zach Stafford.
