A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Hicksville Hounds and Beaumont Crossbeaus.

The Hicksville Hounds topped the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 6-3, in USSL Low A action at The Target. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hicksville pitcher Zach Castillo. Leland Timms recorded his 13th save for Hicksville.

Nelson Evans was vital to the Hicksville win. He went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second with no one out, Evans hit a 2-run single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Hounds.

Castillo attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
