António Calderón, who is tied for 7th in the SA- in quality starts with 5, imposed his will on the Angel Kitties from the get-go. Relying mainly on his slider, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Ogallala triumph. The last-place Angel Kitties have lost 4 straight games.

Ogallala used the timely hitting of Jun-soo Hwang to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Octopi ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Ogallala manager Dewitt Hopper.
