Shady Side turned a fine outing from starter Reece Carne into a victory over the Ogallala Octopi at Nebraska Aquarium. The final score was 5-2 in 10 innings. Bob Powell closed out the game, earning his 3rd save. Shady Side now has a record of 22-19 with the win.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Pete Zahut? The 21-year old first baseman Zahut stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Shady Side up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
