Baby Lakers Beat Rams, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Bompton Baby Lakers and the Ladue Rams, Pedro Andrade, who is tied for 5th in the SA- with a 8.4 K/9 rate, proved to be the difference. The Bompton left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Baby Lakers win. Bompton reliever Francisco Campos picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ernesto Chávez took the loss. George Paddock locked down his 3rd save.
Bompton took the lead, 3-2, on Marian Rab's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Ladue pitcher Ernesto Chávez in the bottom of the eighth.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Andrade.
Bompton has now won 5 games in a row.
