Crush Rally to Nose Past Ellesmere Island
|
The Flint Crush converted a terrific effort from starter Armando Guzmán into a win over the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at Flint Park. The Crush won the game by a final score of 3-2. With the win, Flint climbs to 2-0.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Flint second baseman César Velázquez, facing Alberto Gómes, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Crush the 3-2 win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Velázquez said.
