Amarillo and Ogallala duked it out and the Warheads came out victorious.

In a low-scoring contest between the Amarillo Warheads and the Ogallala Octopi, Juan De La Rosa, who is tied for 4th in the SA- with a 1.60 ERA, proved to be the difference. The Amarillo right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Warheads win. In 6.1 innings, De La Rosa surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed no runs.

In the bottom of the second inning, first baseman Micah Goater had a 3-run home run for Amarillo. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Warheads on top, 3-0.

"Juan had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Amarillo manager José López.

The Warheads improved to 18-30.
