5 Straight Wins for Sea Dogs
|
The Maine Sea Dogs took Watford City pitcher Orinosuke Hatsutori's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Sea Dogs Park. The final score had Maine getting past the Trash Pandas, 3-1. Hatsutori went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 8. Abruri Njoka, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Chris Walker earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
Maine took a 3-1 lead on Ken Wagner's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Wagner hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Watford City pitcher Yong-su Han visibly frustrated.
"Nice win for us," said Wagner. "Now we'll go after the next one."
The 6th-place Sea Dogs have won 5 straight games.
