Bompton Drops Hicksville, 5-3

Gary Larsen, who is tied for 9th in the SA- in innings pitched with 67.2, had a strong outing for the Bompton Baby Lakers against the Hicksville Hounds at Hound Pound. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. The win went to Kyung-bae Mun in relief, making him now 2-0. Ryuichi Agano took the loss for Hicksville. George Paddock earned the save for Bompton, his 6th of the year.
Bompton used the timely hitting of Eduardo Garza to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Baby Lakers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Garza.
Bompton now owns a record of 23-26.
