Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Amarillo Warheads and Watford City Trash Pandas.
In a tight contest between the Amarillo Warheads and the Watford City Trash Pandas, Alex Martin was the determining factor. The Amarillo right-hander sparkled in his team's 2-1 win. Bob Smith notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 3-4. Rafael Balita earned the save for Amarillo, his 2nd.
Peter Curtis helped out the Amarillo cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4 with a double.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Curtis.
The win puts Amarillo at 20-35.
