Octopi 3-1 Losers to Trash Pandas

António Calderón pitched well, but the Ogallala Octopi still lost the game, falling, 3-1, to the Watford City Trash Pandas at Nebraska Aquarium. The winner was Maup Looms, who threw 86 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 5 hits. Denie Vogelsang picked up the save for Watford City, his 5th of the year.
Watford City used a well-timed hit by Jim Lamb to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Trash Pandas ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
