The performance of Artie Rice proved critical in helping Amarillo beat Shady Side, 5-3. The Warheads third baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Rafael Balita was called on to finish, recording his 5th save. The victory puts Amarillo at 24-43.

With Amarillo leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Rice hit a sinker from Reece Carne for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Warheads ahead, 5-1.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Rice.
