The Capital Hill Interns got a magnificent performance from pitcher Scott Mitchell, who muffled the Napanee offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Interns win at Paints Ballpark. Mitchell yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-0. Pedro Puglisi earned the save for Capital Hill, his 3rd of the year.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Interns had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the second, when third baseman Nick Kelly hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Victor Griffin and made the score 2-0, Interns. Kelly was 1-2 with a walk.
