Interns Squelch Crush Offense in Shutout Win
The Capital Hill Interns knocked off the Flint Crush, 4-0, in M3L Low A action at Alouettes Ballpark. Capital Hill pitcher and Levittown, Puerto Rico, native Francisco Torres had an outstanding performance. Torres yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-1. The win has Capital Hill at 9-10.

Capital Hill took a 4-0 lead on Don Reynolds's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Reynolds hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Flint pitcher Igor Plomp visibly frustrated.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Torres said.
