North Ft. Myers Gets 4-1 Win
|
North Ft. Myers and Greenport duked it out and the Gators came out victorious.
North Ft. Myers first baseman Randy Sullivan contributed significantly to his team's 4-1 win over the Greenport Harbor Whales. Sullivan went 4 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Gators. The defeat makes Greenport 16-15.
North Ft. Myers used the hitting of Luke Werkman to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Gators on top, 1-0. For the game, Werkman had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Werkman.
