Long Island designated hitter Max Thompson had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Napanee Express, 8-0. Arturo Gonzáles was the winner. He's now 4-2. The loser was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Martínez. The Ducks are now 24-8.

With Long Island leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Thompson hit a sinker from Luis Martínez for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Ducks ahead, 4-0.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Thompson told the Long Island Today, "and we played pretty well tonight."
