Harbor Whales Lose By a Run at Ellesmere Island
Ellesmere Island registered a win at The Igloo by beating the Greenport Harbor Whales, 5-4. Pitcher Gustavo Villegas was one reason why the Snowpeople triumphed. The win was credited to Tomás Pérez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Fernando Rodríguez took the loss. The 7th-place Harbor Whales have dropped 4 straight games.

Ellesmere Island pinch hitter Don Prince helped the Snowpeople go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Prince hit a run-scoring single off Greenport pitcher Fernando Rodríguez.

"Gustavo is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Ellesmere Island manager Gary MacHardy.
