Beavers Pull Off Thrilling 5-3 Win in Extras
Ballard and North Ft. Myers took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Ballard Beavers beat the North Ft. Myers Gators, 5-3, in 10 innings. Ballard pitcher and Yakima, Washington, native Ron Inostraza led the way. The Beavers saw their win-loss record go to 22-20. At the same time, the Gators fell to 19-23.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Noud Wolthaus? The 19-year old center fielder Wolthaus stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put Ballard up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said North Ft. Myers manager Felipe Palazzola.
