Rams Pick Up 7-3 Win
|
Félix Mireles was a major contributor to the 7-3 Ladue win over Maine. The Rams center fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ernesto Chávez, the winner, improved to 2-5. He held the Sea Dogs to 1 run on 5 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. The Rams raised their record to 16-28.
Early in the game, Mireles had a 2-run home run for Ladue. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Rams on top, 2-0.
"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Mireles after the game.
