Quebec City designated hitter Raúl Ángel had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ángel went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Ellesmere Island beat the Baby Blues, 8-7. Silas Clark was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Yurik Elovsky. Pablo Martínez nailed down the save.
Had Don Prince not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Prince hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Snowpeople.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Prince.
The win makes Ellesmere Island 19-25.
