Interns Pull Off Thrilling 5-3 Win in Extras
Memphis got a decent performance from pitcher Raúl Moreno, but it wasn't enough to beat the Capital Hill Interns. Capital Hill won the The Stage in Memphis contest, 5-3. Moreno threw 9.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Jean Schilder closed the game out for Capital Hill, earning his 2nd save. Capital Hill sits in 6th place in the Menard's Low A at 27-23.

Capital Hill used the timely hitting of Fraser Thomas to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Interns on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Capital Hill manager Evan Groenevelt commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
