The Moose Jaw Canucks beat the Quebec City Baby Blues, 6-1, at Foresters Stadium. Armando Sandoval, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Moose Jaw is now 15-39, Quebec City 25-29.

Moose Jaw second baseman Miguel Ortega landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. It was his 6th home run of the season. With it, the Canucks took a 3-0 lead.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Ortega.
