Sardiña Excels in 11-4 Maine Win
The Maine Sea Dogs topped the Napanee Express, 11-4, at Paints Ballpark. Maine first baseman Rafael Sardiña was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 7. Calvin Burkett got the win, improving to 6-2. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Haico Ulderink locked down his 8th save.

With Maine leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Sardiña hit a fastball from Eugene Brown for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Sea Dogs ahead, 4-0.

"I had some good swings out there," said Sardiña.
