The Moose Jaw Canucks faced a tough opponent in Ellesmere Island pitcher Fred Medina, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Igloo by a final score of 5-2. Medina went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The last-place Canucks own a record of 20-42.
Lou Klink drove in one run against the Snowpeople. With the game tied in the top of the seventh inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Moose Jaw in front, 3-2.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Klink.
