The Flint Crush defeated the Ballard Beavers, 6-5, in part because of third baseman Ed Harris. Harris went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Crush. Flint reliever Roderick Vanblarcom picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Dan Martin took the loss. Ken Leach earned the save for Flint, his 18th.

Flint took a 6-5 lead on Florante Berbasa's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Berbasa hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Ballard pitcher Dan Martin visibly frustrated.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Berbasa said (again).

The win gives Flint a season record of 40-22.
