Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Moose Jaw Canucks and North Ft. Myers Gators.
The Moose Jaw Canucks defeated the North Ft. Myers Gators, 6-3, at Dodge Field. Moose Jaw designated hitter Noel Langdon had a superb performance. He was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Moose Jaw pitcher Brian Martin earned the win, hiking his record to 1-2. Yi-da Gui suffered the loss. The save was credited to Yun Sha, his 2nd.
The Canucks got a big at-bat from right fielder Sacha Heerland. For the game, Heerland was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Moose Jaw a 2-0 lead.
