The Ballard Beavers downed the Quebec City Baby Blues, 4-1, at The Beaver Dam. Stellar pitching by Avery Finley had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 10th in the 3A- in wins with 6, handcuffed his opponent all game. Finley, now 6-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no runs. By defeating Quebec City, the 8th-place Beavers improved to 32-39.

Denzel Vale, who is rated as the 10th best prospect by BNN, chipped in a 2-run home run for Ballard in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
