The Ballard Beavers turned back the Quebec City Baby Blues, 7-6, at The Beaver Dam. Joe Hoffman, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Ballard reliever Jesse Seals picked up the win to move to 4-1. Yurik Elovsky suffered the loss. The Beavers, at 33-39, sit in 8th place in the Menard's Low A.

Hoffman came through with the big blow. With the score 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, he hit a 2-run double, giving Ballard the walk-off win.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Hoffman.
