Express Take Tight Tangle
The Napanee Express did just enough to sneak past the Moose Jaw Canucks, 4-3, at Paints Ballpark. Napanee pitcher Victor Griffin, in particular, had a standout performance. Napanee reliever Ed Cunningham picked up the win to move to 2-2. Alfonso Gámez suffered the loss. The 5th-place Express have won 6 in a row.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 22-year old right fielder Chuck Gray had a real shot to win the game. Moose Jaw pitcher Alfonso Gámez was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Gray hit a run-scoring single. The Express had a walk-off triumph.

"It feels good to get this one," Gray told the Napanee Citizen.
