In a tight contest between the Greenport Harbor Whales and the Flint Crush, Dan McFarland was the determining factor. The Greenport right-hander sparkled in his team's 2-1 win. The winner was McFarland. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Greg Bradford. Greenport now has a record of 43-30 with the win.

Greenport used a timely hit from Iwane Tanaka to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Harbor Whales ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.
