Interns Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Capital Hill starter Oscar Milledge pitched well against the Moose Jaw Canucks at Alouettes Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 10 innings. The Interns now have a mark of 38-43.
Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 20-year old right fielder Chi-ju Ge had a chance to be the hero. Moose Jaw pitcher Máximo Romero had other ideas. But with no outs, Ge hit a sacrifice fly. The Interns had themselves a dramatic win.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Moose Jaw manager Mark Wofford. "But we decided not to take it."
