Spirited fans greeted the Capital Hill Interns for their clash with the Flint Crush.
Chong-yee Meng imposed his will on the Interns from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Flint triumph. The win makes Flint 50-33.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Don Nielsen? The 19-year old second baseman Nielsen stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Flint up, 4-1. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"Chong-yee has got a slow heartbeat," said Flint manager Michael Woodard. "He doesn't panic or anything."
