Visiting Rainbow Mermaids Beat Stingers, 12-7
Led by Carlos Ríos, the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids downed the Toledo Stingers, 12-7. Ríos went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Rainbow Mermaids. Toledo is now 9-7.

With Northern Virginia leading 8-7 in the top of the ninth, Ríos hit a fastball from Francis Davis for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 12-7.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Ríos, "one at-bat at a time."
